Supervision and mentoring

Supervision is more than a professional requirement. It is also an opportunity to develop a safe supportive space where you can explore your practice and step into your potential.

Dr Linda Davey

As an endorsed clinical and forensic psychologist with over 25 years experience teaching and supervising, Linda offers quality clinical supervision to registered psychologists, counsellors, therapists and other mental health practitioners. Supervision provides a very important space for reflective practice where practitioners can explore the intersection between the demands of their practice and what they bring to the work. Linda aims to assist supervisees to meet their own specific goals and supervision sessions can have a diverse focus. This may include case formulation, the exploration of ‘ways forward’ with difficult or unusual cases, ethical dilemmas, building specific clinical skills, and self-exploration as a practitioner. Supervision also allows for the very important development and maintenance of self-care strategies and personal growth. Linda's approach is collaborative and creative; she seeks to journey alongside her supervisees to empower and enliven them in their work. Linda has supervised many practitioners over the years, from the very experienced to those in early career and is able to offer a safe, reflective and encouraging space for supervisees to explore their own therapeutic style. She can also provide mentoring for those taking the leap into private practice.
